The "G" Major
Scale on Piano

Now we are going to discuss the "G" Major Scale. This is not that much different than the "C" Major Scale. This scale has an F Sharp in it which is played on the black key above the F note. Playing this scale on the piano is extremely easy to do. Here are the notes, we are going to start on G:

G, A, B, C, D, E, F#, G

Now go back down the scale:

G, F#, E, D, C, B, A, G

You'll notice the "F#" in there. The number sign means that the note is a sharp and not a natural note.

Also note that the instructor in the video is playing all his exercises on a rhodes piano. You do not need this type of piano to play this scale.
